Orthodontics

Do you believe you or your child could benefit from orthodontics? Dr. Kikel is highly experienced and currently has over two hundred patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. As a graduate of the United States Dental Institute, he has the skills and experience necessary to address nearly every orthodontic situation.

Orthodontic Conditions

Your appearance is just one of the many reasons you may wish to have orthodontic treatment. Other conditions can make chewing and talking difficult. Certain conditions can even create pain and sensitivity when it comes to your teeth and bite.

At Dr. Robert Kikel DDS, we treat a wide range of orthodontic conditions:

  • Gaps in your teeth
  • Underbite
  • Overbite
  • Crossbite
  • Overcrowding
  • Poor occlusion (bite)
  • Crooked teeth

Whether you decide to have orthodontics for cosmetic reasons or because of an underlying health issue, rest assured that you are in good hands. Dr. Kikel’s knowledge combined with his experience provides consistently outstanding results.

Orthodontic Treatment and Aftercare

Your treatment time will depend on your specific condition. We will schedule periodic follow-up exams to monitor your treatment progress and make any necessary adjustments so that your treatment stays on track.

After your treatment, you will need to wear a retainer. Retainers are necessary to keep your teeth from drifting back to their original location. Dr. Kikel will go over proper retainer use at your exam.

Invisalign Treatment

Do you want braces but can’t bear the idea of wires and brackets? Invisalign may be a great option for you to have the orthodontic treatment you need and want without the hassle of all of that traditional hardware in your mouth.

Invisalign utilizes clear plastic aligners to gradually move your teeth over time. Because the aligners fit your teeth snugly, you will get used to them quickly and no one will even notice you are wearing them.

Brushing and flossing is easy with Invisalign because it allows you to remove your aligners to clean your teeth. That means that you don’t have to spend extra time or use special materials to floss. Keeping your teeth and gums healthy during treatment is essential.

While Invisalign is a versatile treatment option, it may not work for every orthodontic situation. The best way to find out if it will work for you is to have an orthodontic evaluation with Dr. Kikel. He can outline your condition, treatment options, and the time it might take to complete your orthodontics.
